Paw patrol is a hit show and The license owner and toy manufacturer spinmaster is always looking for the next vehicle the pups drive. Transformation and teamwork is a big part of the pup's brand. what hasn't been done before? That is where the conversation started.
The idea was hatched in a brainstorming meeting between myself and Mike Dore. We had pitched a couple of ideas but this one felt like it checked all the boxes. It transformed easily, encouraged teamwork play and had added value since you get two vehicles for the price of one. We started right away designing it in CAD, 3D printed parts and assembled. Once we got the parts to interact correctly through testing we had a working model that was fun to play with and ready to ship to the client.
